Being Well: The Journey of Healing Through Sound

We all seek connection; something that gives meaning and a sense of safety in the world. Feeling isolated and untethered can create anxiety, depression, lead us to mistakenly attach to things outside of ourselves like other people, possessions, food, addictive substances etc- hoping to fill the void within us.
All the while, everything we need is already within us. But most of us need help in accessing that abundance and stepping into our power and manifesting the relationship with the world we desire.

Fortunately, there are tools to help us. Through the beauty of their harmonic sounds and the vibrational patterns they emit, the Tibetan sacred sound instruments (singing bowls, gantas, dorjes's and tingshas) help to reawaken within us dormant energies and realign us with the cellular memory of our wholeness. Through brainwave entrainment that creates a synchronization of our heartbeat, brainwaves and respiratory rate, we can release into a relaxed and meditative state so deep, that the body/mind/spirit recalibrates itself.

Sometimes this happens with the initial sound healing session. Sometimes it takes several sessions because we learn by repetition, and we are learning to align with deeply effective vibrational patterns in a new way- the sound way.

Healing is a movement from disharmony to harmony, from duality to non-duality or Divine Awareness. The journey of healing then is a spiritual awakening with consequences on our physical well being. As we awaken, our perspective shifts. As our perspective shifts, our vibration shifts. As our vibration shifts, our cellular make up shifts. The shifts can not occur as separate entities- they affect the whole of who we are and extend infinitely.

Healing is a process where we are released from an ego centered finite perspective of ourselves in the world and move into our essence where our vibratory energy is connected with the universe. Once we remember and feel that connection, we feel supported by the universe, as in fact we always are, and can begin to manifest our life in a ways that reflects our hearts desires.

Interesting read indeed.

Since the beginning of history, sound has been used to create certain moods in the listener. Different sounds affect people in different ways. Violin that plays on a high note, energizes human mind and makes it peaceful. Marching bands are used to fire-up an army or sports team, and a mother’s lullaby soothes a troubled child. The different ragas of Indian classical music are attuned to different times of the day or different seasons to harmonize the listener with the rhythms of nature.
