Diane Mandle reviews How To Create With Spirit

My Personal Review

In  How To Create With Spirit : Awakening the Harmony Within,  Eugenia Oganova tackles the questions, life choices, belief systems and challenges of developing higher consciousness in every day life.  Her book is divided into sections that combine narrative with clear explanations that support her claims.

As much as I like this book and agree with many of her comments,  Ms Oganova makes declarations of Truths, that seem to be based in science, but nothing in her book is documented, and there are no references to anything but her own beliefs  presented as reality. There is no credit given to any other authors or works that might have influenced or contributed to her knowledge base.  I find that odd.

That being said, the book is well organized with major chapters broken down into areas of emotion, physicality, spirituality, esoteric, energy, mental, cognitive fields and more. The discussion within each sub-topic is  logical, accessible and free from new age fluff language.  As I read through it, I find myself nodding in agreement and delight as she breaks down the concepts and belief systems that keep people imprisoned in their own realities.

This is a book about empowerment in every sense of the word and presented in a manner that most people can not only relate to, but also embrace.

  Toning and Sound Healing

Sound is a physicalized vibration, and vibrations which are within our material range realign vibratory patterns in matter-based forms. Toning is a fine tuning of the instrument (our energy systems) through sound. This applies to all of our bodies: physical, emotional, mental and the rest. When the sound resonates through our entire energy field, it vibrates our energy bodies to its frequency, cleansing, purifying, uplifting.

There are two types of toning: internal and external.

Internal toning is sounding your own voice to a particular frequency. It is like being your own resonator/tuning fork. Usually a person sounds the note of the internal experience (discomfort, pain, sadness) and then allows that note to evolve and become cleaner and higher – eventually arriving at a harmonious frequency for that person (it has to “sound you” instead of you “sounding it”). Some toning can begin with an already pure vibratory pattern, like a mantra. All true mantras are related to Spirit. They resonate with “Spirit is All That Is”. For example, the famous mantra “AUM” (it is the proper sounding of the “Om”) is the trinity of the Cosmic Root Substance, the Creator, and the Light/Code. When that sound is made, it synchronizes the resonance of one’s energy field and physical body with the Universal Spirit.

External toning is the process of experiencing the sound wave that comes from something/someone else. That harmonious wave resonates through one’s energy field, and it synchronizes to the wave.

An example of this toning can be the sound of Tibetan Bowls. The vibrations of a singing bowl are so pure that they interpenetrate the entire energy field. The resonance is not simply heard with one’s ears, but it is felt through the cells, the tissues/blood/bone in the physical body. The physical body is an anchor for the whole entity that we are here on Earth. When the matter-body experiences change, it is like changing a foundation of a building! – everything above the foundation has to be modified to match that change. Our dis-eases are not created on the physical plane – they are energy imbalances first (conceptual, mental, emotional), and material illnesses last. Thus when the lowest foundational level of our being, the matter-body, is vibrated with harmony by the Tibetan singing bowl, the entire energy system remembers that it is one with Spirit – in other words, the vibratory resonance of the bowl brings us HOME, where no imbalance, dis-ease, or fear is possible. The Tibetan bowls’ sonic pattern facilitates one’s awakening to Spirit.

The Tibetan bowl resonance creates physiological, emotional, mental and spiritual changes. So, why are Tibetan singing bowls so effective? Because the resonance of a Tibetan bowl vibrates at Alpha and Theta brain wave frequency, and a repeat exposure to that sound trains your brain to synchronize easily with that brain wave pattern (so that you can do it with more ease on your own when you choose to relax, to heal, to harmonize). If you are not familiar with brain waves: Beta wave pattern is our “normal” awake state; “Alpha” is the relaxed state (a daydreaming gateway to the subconscious), and “Theta” is the state of awake-yet-deeply-relaxed, activating insight, inspiration, vivid visualizations (a gateway to your Higher Mind and the Soul). The Alpha and Theta waves of the singing bowls create the range of sound that restores harmony in the stressed, dis-eased, and emotionally imbalanced system. When we fully allow the sound of the bowl to penetrate us, we let the Universal consciousness work through us, harmonizing us with Spirit.

Back in late 1990ies when I was working as a regional director for the American Cancer Society I could never have imagined that I would be doing the work I am doing today. As I scan my life and past jobs as a chamber of commerce director, a life coach, a human services director and before that an actress, radio producer, world traveler and yes, even a welfare single mom, I see that every single thing I learned from those jobs serves me now. But now, what I do not only supports my life, but is deeply nourishing to my spirit and hopefully serves a higher purpose in society.
Do what you love”. These are the words my mother whispered in my ear every day. The same words I passed on to my own children. Does it require a certain amount of courage? Yes. Absolutely. Is it worth it? There is no doubt. So how to begin the process of shifting your passion into your career?
  1. Take stock of all the work you have done and notice what you have enjoyed about each one. Then look for connections or overlap. In my case ( I am a Tibetan bowl sound healer and teacher) all my jobs involved some degree of multiculturalism, empowering people, organizing of ideas, events or perspectives. And those are the aspects of each job I loved.
  1. Notice if there is a yearning to learn more about something or seeing someone doing something you would love to do but don’t think you can. Take this as a sign! We so easily dismiss our inner signposts the subtle messages we receive because our belief systems don’t match up. I loved the one on one connection and the spiritual side of energy work but didn’t pay much attention to it until I was desperate to find a better outlet for my talents. I loved doing presentations at work because it used my performance skills. Now I travel internationally doing educational sound healing concerts. Who would have thought!
  1. Get clear that ANY transition has an aspect of fear. Never allow fear to deter you from your hearts desire. When you follow your passion, the universe usually meets you. ( When I packed up my belongings and moved to California I had no idea how things would work out. I sold or gave away almost everything I owned and said goodbye to friends and family. But I did that after having spent 2 years learning the amazing modality I now practice and teach. I knew it would take time to establish clients and was prepared to do whatever I needed to make some money while I met people and started a client base. It took several months and many free introductory sound healing mini concerts and sessions. Now I have a flourishing practice in an effective and compelling modality that keeps me centered as I help others.
  1. Yes, but” That phrase is a dream assassin. Just stick with “Yes” Did you know that good theater improvisation is based on the ability to say “yes” to every situation? “Yes” keeps the energy moving. So improvise with life in a manner that you can find the ‘yes, and” in situations. Look for what is possible rather than what is not. You would be surprised how fast things move forward by doing this. Simple but not easy. I had to keep reminding myself and noticing the ways I was sabotaging my own efforts. As I have become able to manifest my own dreams, I become better at helping others do the same. I love working with my Tibetan bowls because they help raise consciousness, my own and that of others.
  1. Don’t be afraid to be different. It is great to be the first or the only one doing something. If your passion seems a bit wacky- all the better. Really, how many Tibetan bowl sound healers do you know? I was one of the first. It is easier to distinguish oneself when what you do is unique. If what you want to do is not unique then know and be confident that what you bring to it makes it so. Own that completely. Now just go for it.
